Last Day. A Day in Paris.
Straight up the Eiffel Tower, then onto the boat trip up the Seine.
Interspersed with driving around in Parisien traffic...fun.

WHAT A DAY.
A fantastic day today on the metro. First stop Montmartre and the Sacré Coeur.
Next L'Arc de Triomphe...all the way to the top. After that it was luch (in McDonalds for some) staff had a great lunch watching the world go by on the Champs Elysées.
Then a walk. Down to Place de la Concorde, through the Tuilerie Gardens and on to the famous Louvre. Here Mr Davidson decided to leave his backpack.
Then we trundled along the Seine before turning up to the Pompidou Centre where we went for our Flunch.
After dinner it was off to Notre Dame and then home...via an extra couple of stations due to Mr Sutcliffe getting confused about which Fontenay to go to.

Another full and hectic day.
Unfortunately this one didn;t start out too well. It was tipping it down. Never let it be said that it got this hearty bunch down.
Off we went down the road to the IJzer Peace Tower, a monumnet to the Mouvement Flamand and to peace. A fantastic museum which everyone seemd to enjoy.
Then to the Trench of Death. The fact that it had rained gave the students a bit of an idea what it must have been like in those trenches, especially when all the cly stuck to their shoes.
The weather was still not great as yet and we had learned that the swimming pool was closed due to leaky roof so we went to have a look along the prom at Nieuwpoort, where the boys decided to become bike riding tubers.
Then the sun cam out and Mr Davidson took an executive decision to abandon history and go to the beach. Well done that man.
