Since Raoul's arrival in the UK I have undertaken quite the learning experience myself.
He has started in P6, just at the time they were beginning to start the Living and Growing topic, with the controversial Channel 4 resources.
In order that he be able to do some of the work that the others are doing I have kept myself busy translating the worksheets they use in class (I wonder if there is a copyright issue here?) This has lead to me learning a whole new swathe of French vocab, very anatomical as you can imagine.
Anyway whilst going through one of the sheets with him ( about periods) I also realised that he has had little or no experience of working with worksheets. A primary class in Cameroon will usually have a lot of learning by rote and copying from the blackboard. However his teacher tells me that he rather enjoys the computer so I thought I'd try something out.
I have taken the questions and answers from one of the worksheets (Unit 2.5 Period Puzzle if you are interested) and input them in ClassTools.net. Et voila.

I haven't tried it out on him yet because he is not quite up to there yet, but I will send the link to his teacher and have him have a go at home.
I will of course blog my findings.
