Nuno Sacramento on TGSi

TGSi today had a visit from Nuno Sacramento from Deveron Arts. He came in to talk about the festival he is curating here in Huntly, the George MacDonald of Huntly Festival 2007.

The festival will feature works from Scottish artists and writers such as
Kenny Hunter, Duncan McLaren, Murdo MacDonald and Colin Manlove. Bob Pegg will once again be telling his stories in Huntly along with
Grace Banks and Phyllis Goodall.

The main event of the festival is "Exposure" in which Deveron Arts will attempt to create the worlds longest photo featuring past and present pupils of The Gordon Schools.

A Literary Show
Another special edition for you to enjoy.
Meet Katrina, our book reviewer. Today she is looking at the Whitbread Book Award  (now the Costa Book Awards) winning children's novel by Geraldine McCaughrean, "Not the End of the World".

It sound like a really interesting book and hopefully some of you will get 'round to reading it one day. You can get it from you school library.

Derek's Sports Report

A quiet week at The Gordon Schools.

Meteorological cconditions and prelims have meant a relatively quiet week here at TGS. The bus pupils haven't made it in for the last 2 days and are, I'm sure, deep in their books at home! Either that or sledging.

However even in the quiet time TGSi keeps on broadcasting. Once again we sent Derek off to his favourite place, Christie Park, home of Huntly FC to watch what turned out to be a closely fought local derby. We even find out more about his fascination with his favourite football club.

SPECIAL EDITION

As some of the production team are on exam leave we decided to put out a special edition sports report.

We sent our football correspondent Derek off to Princess Royal Park in Banff to check out our local footballing heroes, Huntly FC. Here's his report.
