I love this sildeshow for an assembly James Padvis has given (has to give) why it is importatnt to learn languages. I like the idea of the kids actually taking part in it rather that listening to a drone from the stage. It gives me some ideas for the European Day of Languages event we are planing for 26 September.
This blog is very nice and informative. It is pretty hard task but your post and experience serve and teach me how to handle and make it more simple and manageable.

Thanks Adam, it is a work in progress so keep your eyes peeled!
We also want to get language speaking Year 7's involved afterwards teaching handy phrases!
I was charged with this after it became apparent in our new KS3 planning day that every subject needs to reinforce purpose at every available stage. My hope is my English speaking minority will wonder why they have nothing to say! (They come just after Spanish by the way!)
